Corporate Adoration

On November 10, 2018, the Christ the King Council #13360 Knights of Columbus will continue our Veteran's Day tradition by gathering at the usual Knights' Adoration Hour, 1:00am to 2:00am at the Christ the King Adoration Chapel.  All Knights who are able are invited to intercede before the Blessed Sacrament in an hour of silent prayer for our country's military veterans, both living and dead.

Council 13360 - Council #13360 - August Knight and Family of the Month

By: Mark Tepen - Sat, Oct 13, 2018 7:30 PM

Knight of the Month, August:  John "Jack" Donnelly, RIP 08/29/2018.  As a dedicated Knight, John represented all of our Knights with his love of God, Family, & Life.  He seemed to be always helping with Pro-Life, our service projects, and other activities.

Family of the Month, August:  The extended Donnelly Family.  The extended Donnelly family serves and support our parish and our council in many ways.  The Knights of Columbus are well represented in the Donnelly family, including John's and Mary Ellen's daughters and sons-in-law include Clare and Knight Larry ("Koz") Kozmalski, Carol and Knight Shawn Horn, Rachel and Knight Mark Leerkes, Knight Father Paul Donnelly.  Several of the younger generation boys are active in our council's Squires Circle.  Many members of this extended family have stepped up when our council has needed help with such projects as set-up and take-down for Coffee & Donuts on Sunday mornings, or with helping collect donations at the twice-a-year MI Drives.

Council 13360 - Council #13360 - 2018 Fall M.I. Drive

By: Mark Tepen - Sat, Oct 13, 2018 7:30 PM

The Knights of Christ the King Council #13360 were at Busch's Market last Friday and Saturday (October 5 - 6) to collect donations and raise money for those who are developmentally challenged.  The sun made a couple of appearances, but weather was mostly cloudy, and at times downright stormy.  Still, that didn't dampen the spirits of the Knights or of the Busch's patrons or the generous donors.  On behalf of the Knights of Christ the King Council #13360, I would like to thank everyone for their most generous support!

Council 13360 - District Deputy Dan Gibbons Newsletter Article - Oct 2018

By: Mark Tepen - Mon, Oct 1, 2018 7:30 PM

When I was a kid, and even now, I enjoyed stories with heroes. When things seemed bleak and when all was lost, the hero would come in and save the day. They did what was right!

It's hard today to not see how the evil one is tightening his grip on this world. Everywhere you look the news is grim. We are in dire need of someone to save the day. Our hero is our lord Jesus Christ.

As men of faith, we have Jesus on our side. Our friends, neighbors, and enemies need us to live our faith visibly and vocally, we need to be the heroes that save the day.  Our wives, our children, our co-workers are depending on us to do what is right!

The Knights of Columbus is a tremendous organization and we owe each man in our parishes the opportunity to join us in the battle that is raging. We owe them the chance to be a hero.

Vivat Jesus

The Knights of Council #13360 and their families gathered at the home of Financial Secretary Dan and Suzanne Taylor on Labor Day for an afternoon/evening of food, fellowship, and fun!  Despite cloudy and somewhat rainy weather, the turnout was good and an enjoyable time was had by all.

Council 13360 - Council #13360 - July Knight and Family of the Month

By: Mark Tepen - Thu, Aug 23, 2018 7:30 PM

Knight of the Month, July:   Mark Tepen

This spring, Mark completed two years as Grand Knight of our council.  He was at the center of our council's planning, as well as executing, of major activities.  His generosity has been quietly present in his giving of his time, as well as other resources, to those who would benefit from charitable activities.

Family of the Month, July:  Gary and Barbara Morgan.

The Morgans have been model parishioners who can always be counted on to serve in various ways.  Barbara, our recently retired CTK DRE, has applied her expertise in catechetics over the last several years to train the adults teaching in our religious education program.  Despite the problems of her illness, she has created a newly-published book on catechetics which covers virtually the whole field applicable to local parish educators.  Gary is a dependable, seemingly universally-present helper with such mundane tasks as setup and take-down, not only for activities that Barbara has led, but also for such other activities as the first year of Alpha.  Gary has also steadfastly brought Jesus in Holy Communion home to Barbara during her periods of illness.

Council 13360 - District Deputy Dan Gibbons Newsletter Article -August 2018

By: Mark Tepen - Sun, Aug 12, 2018 7:30 PM

"Why are you a member of the Knights of Columbus?" This is the question that was asked at our latest District Meeting and I think it's a good question, at least part of the question I reflect on at the beginning of our fraternal year. The whole question is "Why am I a knight and what can I do to be a better knight this year".

We are all busy with our families, work, church and everything else in life. It's hard to squeeze in everything we want to do, and it is hard to maintain our focus on our mission with all these things pulling us in different direction.

However our Catholic faith teaches us that we were created by love, for love, to love. Through our baptism, our souls are changed, and we are to live our lives with the light of Christ shining brightly in our eyes, ringing in our voices, and make his light to visible to the world by our good works.

I am a knight so I can be with other men of faith that are facing the battle of good versus evil. Together, we are Christ's warriors in the conflict with darkness. To be a better knight I need to work to ensure I don't let my brother knights down, so they can look to me as a friend, a fellow man of faith, a trusted soldier of righteousness.

Vivat Jesus!
