Swartz Creek Council #6694 held their “Coats for Kids” program on December 14th and 15th, distributing an unprecedented 164 coats to area children in need. Another successful program thanks to the support of many Brother Knights and their families.

An Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity was held on Sunday, December 11th at Holy Family church in Grand Blanc. The Exemplification Team of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Council #6742 in Grand Blanc welcomed two new Brothers into the Order; one for their council and another for Swartz Creek Council #6694. Council #6742 Grand Knight, Tom Hasselbach, served as the presiding officer.

Because of the cooperation of the councils in District #105 and the State Councils arranging for bonus coats from Supreme, an amazing event happened Saturday Dec 17 at St. Andre Bessette Parish in Ecorse.
The district hosted a Coats for Kids giveaway. Over a hundred families were served and almost 300 coats distributed.
The children were extremely excited about getting these coats. After they received the coats and gloves and hats that were available, the families were allowed to enjoy a light meal and some snacks.

On December 18, an Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity was held by Pope St. John XXIII Council #5436 at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish in Waterford.
New members brought into the Council were Kevin Rolinski, Frank Kotz and Thomas Binasio. Current Council member John Kempf advanced to 3rd Degree. Also included in the picture are DD113 Tom Kendziorski, SDRR Paul Thorn, Archdiocese Program Director Joe Brenner, Grand Knight Michael Mandziuk along with members of the Exemplification team.

Three gentlemen became Knights before Christmas at Holy Family Parish in Caledonia on Saturday December 17th. Bishop Allen J. Babcock Council 7341 hosted an Exemplification after the 5 PM Mass. Sacred Heart of Jesus Council #13641 in Grand Rapids brought 2 candidates to the ceremony and Council #7341 reactivated a member.

On Thursday December 15, District Deputy #101 Dan Nowakowski presented Past Grand Knight Ronald Rabine with the Supreme Council Founders and Columbian Award for Fraternal Year 2021/2022 to St. Hubert Council 11658 in Harrison Township,.
The award is for Insurance Promotion and Program Execution when Rabine was Grand Knight. Congratulations to Council 11658.
