God our Father,

Graciously accept from your humble people a thankful heart and spirit.

Everything we have and are able to share with others ultimately comes from your love of your creations.

Often we think that everything we have is our own creation; we ask you this day to create in us a spirit of gratitude, that we may always know that all good gifts come from you.

We ask this in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen!

12102 25th Anniversary

On Saturday evening, November 19, 2022, Msgr. John T. Gordon Council 12102 in Sterling Heights. celebrated their Council’s 25th Anniversary.

The celebration began at 4:30 with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at St. Eprham Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Celebrant of the Mass was Council Chaplain Fr. Arokiaselvam Nithiyaselvam

A program, dinner and Fraternalization followed in the parish hall. During the program, Detroit East State Deputy Regional Representative Paul Thorn and District Deputy #117 Matt Elias presented a 25th Anniversary Plaque to Grand Knight Rubin Calderero. Also in attendance were 9 Past Grand Knights and 10 Charter Members.

Those in attendance enjoyed a fine meal that included grilled Chicken, Kielbasa and Sauer Kraut, Pasta, grilled Potatoes, Veggies, Salad, Rolls, Cake and Beverages.

25 years of memories were shared. A fun time was had by all in attendance.

Council 1266 Coats for Kids 22

On Saturday November 19th, Monroe Council #1266 distributed 325 Coats for Kids. The council also gave out mittens and hats, along with some children’s books which had been donated to the council.

Council # 15352 CFU Exemplification

Congratulations to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Council #15352 in Beverly Hills for the exemplification of two members last night.

One e-member and one first degree moving up, not so much quantity but quality, these two young men will be assets for their council.

Congratulations also to their exemplification team who did a fantastic job!

7341 Columbian Award

On Thursday Ocober 27 District Deputy #306 John Veneklase had the pleasure of pesenting the 2021-2022 Columbian Award to Grand Knight Jeff Hernandez of Bishop Allen J. Babcock Council #7341 in Caledonia during the council's general membership meeting.

Region 4 October Council of the Month

A Special Night Thursday, November 10^th

at St. Lawrence of Utica Council #2950

Members of the St. Lawrence Council #2950 turned out in great numbers for their annual Mass of Remembrance for 4 Brother Knights who went to their Eternal Reward this past year. They hold the Mass annually with an abbreviated meeting to follow.

Families of the fallen Brothers were in attendance along with other benefactors of the Council. After Mass, GK Joe Lograsso opened the abbreviated meeting updating those in attendance of upcoming Council events and other Council business.

Then the recognition ceremonies began. Unsuspecting Grand Knight Joe Lograsso introduced District Deputy Rick Fisher who then introduced SDRR Paul Thorn, who just happened to be in attendance. Together they presented GK Joe Lograsso the Council of the Month Award for October for Archdiocese of Detroit East.

They continued by presenting the Columbian Award for 2021-2022 to St. Lawrence Council #2950 for their outstanding work during the past fraternal year. Lastly, District Deputy Rick Fisher presented GK Joe Lograsso with the Knight of the Month award. Joe was nominated by his Council members for the award in recognition of his outstanding leadership.

The night ended with a meal prepared by Council Chef Extraordinaire Scott Morgan PGK. A well-deserved night for a very good Council!
