You might ask "What is a Corporate Communion"? It is a Knights expression coined by Supreme for Knights and their families sitting and praying together in Church at Mass. The Council attends Mass as a corporate body to worship together.

We will have  pews reserved for us , please make sure you and your family sit in the reserved pews. Our quarterly Corporate Communions are a powerful sign of our fraternal solidarity.

Please arrive at church 15 minutes early. Brother Knights, please dress in suits and wear your lapel pin, all others should dress appropriately. A social gathering follows immediately afterwards at the Notre Dame hall, a continental breakfast will be served.

Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Sean Bonner.

The first Corporate Communion is March 18th at  St. Richards Parish
35851 Cherry Hill Rd Westland, Michigan 48186 .
at 6:30 pm. This will be held throughout the Lenten/Easter Season in Holy Family Hall. There is no cost to attend. If you can't attend all 10 sessions - that's ok, come when you can.

This year, the Knights of Council #13360 helped with the Baby Bottle Boomerang fundraiser, where "spare change" is donated to support the work of Family Life Services in Ypsilanti.  The Knights were present after Masses at Christ the King a couple weeks ago to help distribute the empty baby bottles and again last weekend to help collect the full baby bottles.

If you haven't returned your Baby Bottle yet, please bring it and your donation to any Mass this weekend at Christ the King.  Family Life Services and the Knights of Council #13360 would like to thank all for your generous donations!

On Tuesday, February 27, Council #13360 hosted our annual "Desert Meal" fundraiser to raise money for seminarians at Sacred Heart Major Seminary for the upcoming pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Rome.  This pilgrimage, made by Seminarians finishing their First Year Theology, is an opportunity for these young men to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and the Apostles.  Those who attended enjoyed a meal prepared by the Knights of Council #13360.

Our guests this year were Mark Martin II and Miguel Colunga from the Diocese of Lansing.  Mark and Miguel shared more about this pilgriamage and each shared their own vocations story with those present.

Donations to Sacred Heart Major Seminary on behalf of the seminarians' pilgrimage are tax deductible.

Council 13360 - Council #13360 - 2017 Humanitarian Award Presentation

On February 11, the Christ the King Council #13360 Humanitarian Award was presented to Michele Hufnagel.  This award, in memory of our late brother, David L. Koehler, is awarded to the individual, family, or group that exemplifies, in their actions or projects, the treatment of all human beings with dignity.

Dave Koehler (1941-2008) was a Knight of Columbus and a key member of the group of Christ the King parishioners who worked to make fellow parishioners aware of the needs of those in our parish who are developmentally-disabled or similarly in need.  He strove to encourage fellow parishioners to look with kindness and respect upon such people, and to avoid the natural tendency to ignore such people.  His efforts were tragically cut short by his death in April, 2008.  Dave’s brother Knights of Columbus at CTK have established this award to honor his memory and to continue, in some small way, the work which he had begun.

Michele Hufnagel works to assist the Parish religious education program to effectively incorporate children with developmental disabilities.  She teaches the teachers how to adjust their instruction for children with disabilities.  She also accompanies children to their classes and provides assistance in the learning process.  Finally, she works with parents to learn more about needs and possible supports to develop.   Thank you, Michele, for your work supporting those in our Parish with special needs.
