The Au Lac Council 10724 in Anchorville (Ira Township) hosted an appreciation dinner on June 8th for their first six Youth of the Month Award winners and their families. Pastor Fr. Joe Esper and Grand Knight Jeff Wooten expressed their appreciation to the young people for their service to the parish and community.

Congratulations to Zofia Pukala and Bailey Jordan on winning the Au Lac Council #10724 Catholic Education Scholarship Essay Contest!
Their essays were on the topic of "Why A Catholic High School Education Is Important to me".
Each receive a $1000 scholarship to attend a Catholic high
school next year. We pray that Zofia and Bailey will have success in high school and beyond while continuing to live their Catholic faith.

The Au Lac Council 10724 in Anchorville (Ira Township) hosted a Euchre party on May 19 as a fundraiser and social event for the parish. Approximately 50 people attended and $1600 was raised for the Council's charitable programs and activities.

Congratulations to Victoria Wypiszewsi who was selected as the Au Lac Council Youth of the Month for June 2023!
She is the daughter of Pete and Michelle and will be graduating from Immaculate Conception School in June.
Victoria is an altar server and has helped at the parish fish fries during Lent and the parish festivals during July for several years. In addition, she is a member of the Shine parish youth group and has done several service projects through the school’s National Honor Society.

Grand Knight Council 10724 Jeff Wooten presented the 2023 Justin Mello Memorial Award to Bridget Brandt and Hudson Williams during the Immaculate Conception School Sports Awards Banquet this evening. The award is named after a former I.C. student and is presented to two 8 eighth grade students for their achievements in athletics, citizenship, conduct and academics.

Our Knights of Columbus Au Lac Council #10724 does a lot of great programs and activities throughout the year, but the best ones are those that help make life better for people in need.
This week several members worked for two days to rebuild a deck for a wheelchair bound person so he could enjoy being outdoors at his home. Thank you to those brother Knights for demonstrating what being a Knight is all about.

Congratulations to Jalloul Montacer who is our Council’s Youth of the Month for May, 2023! Jalloul is the son of Jalloul and Bonnie Montacer and a 7th grade student at Immaculate Conception School in Ira Township. He is an altar server and a member of the school Mass choir. He has worked with the Loving Hands altar care group during the summer months and helped with our parish fish fries during Lent.
We thank Jalloul for his service to our parish!

The Au Lac Council #10724 conducted their annual Spring Highway Cleanup on Saturday, April 29. Sixteen Knights collected a total of 30 trash bags of trash along Highway M-29 in Ira Township. The Council will also have summer and fall cleanup days later this year. A special thank you to PGK Jim Zeck who has chaired this event for the past 15 years.

The Au Lac Council #10724 in Ira Township hosted a birthday celebration for their Pastor, Fr. Joseph Esper, on Thursday April 27.
The Knights provided and served cake and ice cream for everyone in attendance, which included all of the students at Immaculate Conception School. We are very thankful for Fr. Joe and his dedication to the people of our parish.

Au Lac Council #10724 in Ira Twps. hosted a Fraternal Benefits event on Wed. April 25 at Immaculate Conception Parish. It drew a total of 19 Brother Knights and 8 others.
Brother Don M. Wesley, K of C Field Agent, and Charles R. Shaw, Attorney at Law, presented valuable information about how to protect members and their loved ones at all stages of life.

Congratulations to Cara Ritchey for being selected as our Youth of the Month for April! Cara is the daughter of Steven and Christine Ritchey and an 8th grade student at Immaculate Conception School. She is an altar server, an active member of the Shine youth group. and helped each week at our parish fish fries. She has received the Sacrament of Confirmation and is already demonstrating her love and commitment to Christ and His Church. The Knights say "Thank you!" to Cara for her service to our parish.

The council’s second annual Outdoor Knights event on March 18 was a great success!
Approximately 500 people enjoyed great food, great prizes and great fun. A special thank you to the brother Knights, their families and other volunteers who helped in so many ways.
Proceeds from the event will help us serve our parish, school and communities through various programs and projects.
