The goal of the Knights of Columbus Essay Contest is to give students the opportunity to define the importance of religious freedom, and to strengthen the bond between the Knights of Columbus and their local schools.

Five students were named State champions of the 2022-2023 Knight of Columbus Essay Contest in grades 8 through 12.  All Catholic students in grades 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 attending public, private or parochial schools were eligible to participate.

Each contestant wrote their essays on the theme of: How young Catholics can evangelize our Faith.
