Brother Knights

We did it!

The Michigan Jurisdiction’s RSVP numbers for 2025 showed a NEW REOCRD in Vocation Support, exceeding the previous record high by over $13,000.

These numbers are fantastic and we should all be proud of our unwavering support for Vocations. There are a few highlights which drew my attention:

* There were several councils who became active in RSVP in 2025 for the first time. This is a VERY POSITIVE indicator. A corollary to this is there were many more councils who were active in 2025 who had not been in many years.

* Fourth Degree Assemblies set a high mark in 2025 as well. Historically Assemblies are not as active with Vocations Support as Councils. In 2025 Assemblies showed a significant uptick in RSVP.

* There were 55 Councils who donated $2,000 or more to the program and several over $10,000.

* The Lansing Diocese for the first time outperformed the Archdiocese of Detroit by about $3,000. Year after year Lansing trails Detroit (not by much) and in 2025 that changed. Detroit actually did good however Lansing did ‘very good’.

* The Davison Council 4090 once again exceeded last year’s numbers by a rather significant amount! Year after year they continue to do better than the year before – its incredible. If you graph their history, the RSVP line chart would look like the north slop of Mt Everest.

* Another bright spot was the Marquette Diocese: Year after year this Diocese is relatively constant – the numbers don’t change much. In 2025 their RSVP increased around 70% over prior years.

* Support for Religious orders is becoming significant. Only a few years ago support for Postulants and Novices was almost non-existent. Today there are many councils, and a couple of Assemblies in Michigan who support those choosing a consecrated life. The level of appreciation from them is overwhelming.

* It has been a very successful year for the DAVL (Detroit Archdiocesan Vocations League). The DAVL is a major contributor to Councils and Assemblies in the Archdiocese.

Lastly please welcome the new State Vocations “RSVP” Director Joe Yekulis as he takes over in July.
