State Board attends the 2025 Archbishop's Gala to support SHMS!

On June 12th, the 2025 Archbishop's Gala was held to raise funds for Sacred Heart Major Seminary and its Seminarians. State Deputy Barry Borsenik presented a $40k donation from the Michigan State Council to the SHMS Endowment Fund as well as over $148k in donations from the State Council for Seminarian Tuition Assistance.

At one point during the evening, there was a question and answer segment with Archbishop Weisenberger where he answered what experiences has he had that have been his "Welcome to Detroit moments?"... He answered..
1. Buddy pizza sausage and mushroom.
2. Michigan left turns
3. Mackinac Island. To which all of the Knights and Ladies in attendance all cheered!
Another question question was what are your thoughts about the Archdiocese at this time?
He answered the amount of Hope that he has seen with our priest, our parishes and the community. He stated that he is also thrilled to see the many initiatives that are being developed or are in the process of being lived
