St. Joseph Icon visits St. Joseph Chapel and Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Pontiac.

This week the St Joseph Icon will be at St Colette Church in Livonia as it moves within the Pope Frances Family of Parishes (St Colette, Our Lady of Victory, St Kenneth, and St Edith Churches), however it made a stop in Pontiac first at the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.   For those who may be unaware that the is one of only two ‘closed churches’ to be renovated and reopened in the Archdiocese.   As part of a special Mass for the Knights of Columbus Council 5492’s Corporate Communion, Rev Alex Kratz, OFM celebrated Mass then gave a nice history of the reopening of the Chapel and the importance of St Joseph and his intercession in daily prayer.
