The evening was highlighted by State Deputy Borsenik presenting President Dandrow a generous check for $20,000 to the Camp.
The Camp was founded in 1985 by the Order of Alhambra whose mission is Serving people with intellectual disabilities. The mission of the Camp is to provide a wonderful residential summer camp experience for those with intellectual disabilities of all ages. The Camp Motto is “Playing Together in Dignity, Respect and Love”.
The Camp sits on a beautiful wooded 36-acre site on Goose Lake in Jerome Michigan thus providing numerous recreational opportunities for the Campers to enjoy nature and the outdoors. There are two residential lodges on the Campus, Alhambra Hall and Knights Hall, testimony to the generous support the two organizations have given to the Camp. Without these Organizations donations the Camp could not exist.
In 2024, the Michigan Knights of Columbus Office and 82 councils, mostly from Metro Detroit, donated nearly $82,000 to the Camp from their annual MI Drives. Thank you, Michigan Knights of Columbus for your continued generosity.
