**Rising from the Ashes: Catholic Eucharistic Revival Comes to Detroit on July 22, 2026**

**An Extraordinary Opportunity for Spiritual Growth and Public Witness of Faith**

On **July 22, 2026**, thousands of Catholics will gather at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit for *Rising from the Ashes*, a full-day Eucharistic Revival. This powerful event will feature inspiring speakers, sacred music, Eucharistic adoration, and a public procession of faith through the heart of the city.

For Michigan Knights of Columbus, it represents a tremendous opportunity to grow spiritually, strengthen our witness, and stand together as brothers in Christ.

### World-Class Catholic Speakers

The revival will feature outstanding Catholic leaders who will proclaim the Gospel with clarity, passion, and pastoral wisdom:

**Bishop Daniel E. Flores**

Born in Palacios, Texas, and raised in a family with deep roots in Texas and Mexico, Bishop Flores was ordained a priest in 1988 for the Diocese of Corpus Christi. He served as Chancellor and Rector before being named Auxiliary Bishop of Detroit in 2006, where he oversaw Hispanic ministry. In 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him the sixth Bishop of Brownsville. A prominent leader in the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, he currently serves as Chairman of the Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church.

**Fr. John Riccardo**

A priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit ordained in 1996, Fr. Riccardo holds degrees from the University of Michigan, the Gregorian University in Rome, and the Pope John Paul II Institute. After more than two decades in parish ministry, he founded **ACTS XXIX**, a Detroit-based apostolate whose mission is to renew and transform the Church by unleashing the power of the Gospel, equipping leaders, and mobilizing the faithful for mission. Through initiatives like the Rescue Project and leadership immersives, ACTS XXIX is helping to build missionary disciples across the country and beyond.

**Sr. Mary Grace, S.V.**

A member of the Sisters of Life, Sr. Mary Grace grew up in Sydney, Australia, and earned a degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame Australia. After encountering the Sisters of Life at World Youth Day Sydney, she felt called to dedicate her life to protecting the dignity of every human person. She entered the community in the Bronx in 2013, professed final vows in 2023, and has served vulnerable pregnant women, offered healing retreats for those wounded by abortion, and coordinated evangelization efforts. She currently serves as Mission Coordinator in Denver and co-hosts the Sisters of Life podcast *Let Love*.

**Jeff Cavins**

A nationally and internationally recognized Bible teacher and speaker, Jeff Cavins is the creator of the popular *Great Adventure Bible Study* series published by Ascension Press. His *Bible Timeline* study has helped more than a million Catholics understand the overarching story of salvation history. He is the founding host of EWTN’s *Life on the Rock* and has authored several books, including *The Activated Disciple* and *Walking with God* (co-authored with Dr. Tim Gray). With his wife Emily, he leads pilgrimages to the Holy Land.

**Chuck Gaidica – Master of Ceremonies**

A beloved and trusted figure in Michigan for more than four decades, Chuck Gaidica is an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, author, and wellness advocate. A Mayo Clinic-trained Wellness Coach, he is passionate about helping people focus on mind, body, and spirit wellness, especially in the “second half” of life. A Christ follower and active parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church in Novi with his wife Susan, Chuck brings energy, joy, and a deep love for people to every gathering he emcees.

### Eucharistic Procession and Blessing for Detroit

The day will culminate in a powerful **Eucharistic Procession** from Huntington Place to the iconic Spirit of Detroit statue on Woodward Avenue. Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger will lead the procession and offer a special blessing over the City of Detroit and the Church.
