On Sunday, August 20th, the Brother Knights of St. Augustine Cathedral Council #15439, in collaboration with the St. Augustine Cathedral School, hosted the annual parish picnic at the parish in Kalamazoo. It was a beautiful day filled with delicious food, thrilling lawn bouncers, exciting games of bingo, and countless hours of fellowship for all the parishioners to enjoy

This year's picnic was extra special as everyone celebrated the 102nd birthday of Brother Knight Bob Johnson from Bishop Alfred J. Markiewicz Council #1616. Brother Bob received heartfelt congratulations from Bishop Edward Lohse, who was recently ordained in the Kalamazoo Diocese, as well as from Diocesan Chaplain and Cathedral Rector, Father Bob Creagon.

At 102 years young, Brother Bob holds the distinction of being the longest-serving member of the Michigan Knights of Columbus, with an impressive 84 years of faithful service to the Order. Furthermore, he is one of the oldest living World War II Naval veterans
