Today the Michigan Knights of Columbus join our brothers across the Order in celebrating the birthday of our founder, Blessed Michael McGivney.
As a young parish priest he saw Catholic families struggling and answered with faith, courage, and practical charity. That same spirit still moves us here in Michigan — in our local councils, our parish support, our work for the vulnerable, and the fraternal bonds that strengthen our communities across the Great Lakes State.
On his birthday, may we ask for the grace to notice the opportunities God places right in front of us and respond with the same generosity he showed.
