Through our choices, we decide what type of ground we're going to be in response to God's Word: hard, rocky, thorny, or fertile. And when we choose to allow that Word, Jesus, to grow within us, our reward is suffering. Wait. What? Yes! In this Sunday's second reading, Paul promises us suffering when we follow Jesus.
