On Saturday, October 5, 2025, following Mass at Holy Redeemer Parish in Jenison, the Knights of Columbus Council #7487 presented Maggie Fischer from Maggie’s Be Café with two checks—one from funds raised during a “Cans for Knights” event and another from the spring MI Drive.

 

Maggie’s Be Café offers employment to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a positive and uplifting environment. They curate a workplace environment that bridges the gap between individuals with disabilities and those without, because we are more alike than we are different.
