Listed below are the Michigan winners and runners up for the 2020 Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest. 


This year's theme was "Discuss the meaning of Virtue and how you live and embody the Virtue of Charity." 


Many fine submissions were received from throughout the state. 



 


12th Grade Winner is Noah Bock from Temperance. His entry was submitted by council #8902.


12th Grade Runner Up is Hannah Klatzke from Sterling Heights. Her entry was submitted by council #13983.


11th Grade Winner is Madeline Jane Battie from Mount Clemens. Her entry was submitted by council #13983'


11th Grade Runner Up is Liam Regan from Grand Rapids. His entry was submitted by council #13641.


10th Grade Winner is Gianna Dugan from Grand Rapids. Her entry was submitted by council #13641.


10th Grade Runner Up is Alexis Jordan from Washington. Her entry was submitted by council #13983.


9th Grade Winner is Annaliese Heath from Chesterfield. Her entry was submitted by council #13983.


9th Grade Runner Up is Sam Blouw from Hudsonville. His entry was submitted by council #13641


8th Grade Winner is Gwendolyn Block from St. Clair Shores. Her entry was submitted by council #3725.


8th Grade Runner Up is Samantha Dick from Grand Rapids. Her entry was submitted by council #4362.


These essays have been submitted to Supreme Council for consideration in the International Level Competition.  Each of these winners and runners up will receive a certificate and gift card.  Great work from all of those that entered!
