Exemplification and Awards for Council 11689

December 12, 2024 was a fun night at St. Paul of Tarsus Council 11689 in Clinton Township.
 
The night began at 6 p.m. with an Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.  Four new members were welcomed into the Order during the ceremony.  The Council has now brought in 13 new members this Fraternal Year and are at 108% for their Membership Growth.
 
A light dinner was served after the Exemplification.  The Council earned the Supreme Council Star Council Award for the 2023 - 2024 Fraternal Year.  The award, along with several Thank You letters from those helped by the Council, were displayed for those in attendance to view.

The Council business meeting followed dinner.  During the meeting, it was my pleasure to present Grand Knight Vince Ursini with the October Council of the Month Award.  Also in the presentation picture are Council Chaplain Fr. Jim Lopez, District Deputy Dan Nowakowski and Deputy Grand Knight Gary Skarb.

Awards night at Council 4764

Tuesday, December 10, 2024, turned out to be award night for Fr. Thomas R. Carey Council 4764 during their annual Christmas get together at American Legion Post 108 in Oxford. I remembered these Christmas events from when I was their District Deputy several years ago.
 
Up first, current District Deputy Chris Scheuer presented Grand Knight Tom Tiffany and Membership Director Frank Kramarczyk with their 2023 - 2024 Star Council Award from the Supreme Council. It was their 4th Straight Star Council Award.

Next, I awarded GK Tiffany with the November 2024 Council of the Month Certificate for Detroit East. The Council had great membership growth during the month, are Youth Compliant, up to date on all reports, and reached their target fundraising goal to purchase an Ultrasound Machine for Oxford Pregnancy Center. This is the 100th machine bought in the State of Michigan by a Council through a program started by the Supreme Council in 2008.

Last, but definitely not least, GK Tiffany awarded member Jim Robak for the hard work he did in leading the fundraising effort for the machine.

The Brother Knights of Solanus Casey Knights of Columbus Council 3797, Sir Knights of Patriotic 4th Degree Assembly 0521, along with the Daughters of Isabella and Life Handicap Outdoors, gathered at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish in St. Clair Shores to prepare donations and gifts for individuals in need within the local communities of Macomb County, Michigan.

Council 3292 hosts Exemplification

On December 3rd, an exemplification was held at Council 3292. A total of nine new members joined the Order. Seven members joined Council 3292, one joined Council 8284 and one joined Council 16169.
 
In attendance were District Deputy Dan Timmerman, Asst. General Agent TJ McCully, AOD Membership Director Hans Hansen, GK 3292 Mike Driscoll, GK 8284 Mike Pisano, GK 16169 Steve Sarlitto, Council 3292 MD Aaron Clark, and Council 16169 MD Larry Redman.

Three New Members at November 30th Exemplification

On Saturday, November 30, 2024, an Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity was held after the 4:30 pm Mass at St. Therese Lisieux Parish in Shelby Twp.
 
A total of 3 men were accepted into the Order.  Councils accepting the members were St. Therese Lisieux Council 11957, Bishop Joseph C. Plagens Council 13318 in Detroit and St. Isidore Council 7200 in Macomb.

Council 744 in Mt Clemens Parade

On Saturday November 23, 2024 members of John Cardinal Dearden Council #744 along with the Color Corp marched with Fr. John Marksym and the St. Peter's Parish in the annual Mt. Clemens Santa Parade. The Knights passed out Tootsie Rolls to the children along the parade route through downtown Mt. Clemens.
